‘iPad Maxi’ to be Launched in April?
You’ve probably already heard about the so-called ‘iPad Maxi’ - Apple’s alleged 12.9-inch tablet that is expected to be released next year. According to several Asian sources, Foxconn has recently come up with 5 different prototypes of this gadget. Moreover, these iPads are being tested now.

Citing a people familiar with the matter, Chinese publication PadNews claims Apple is testing five different 12.9-inch iPad models built by partner manufacturer Foxconn. Further, the company may launch a version with a 2K resolution screen in the first half of 2014, then debut an even higher resolution 4K model a few months later.
The same sources also claim that the first version of the tablet, with 2K resolution, will hit store shelves in April and the second one, featuring ultra-HD display - in October. There’s still no information concerning the price of the 12.9-inch iPad, but obviously it would be pretty high.
