Apple Signs Deal with Major Saudi Arabian Retailer

Apple has reportedly signed a deal with one of the major Arabian retailers called Jarir Bookstore. This deal will allow the guys from Cupertino to sell their products and offer additional services to local customers more efficiently than before. Moreover, Apple’s gadgets will become cheaper since the retailer won’t have to pay third-party distributors.

Aqeel [Jarir Bookstore chairman] said that a deal with Apple will allow the chain to lower its prices on Apple products somewhat, as they will no longer be forced to pay a third-party distributor for access. The retailer currently sells a 32-gigabte iPod Touch for 1,249 Saudi Riyals — around $333 — for instance, nearly $100 more than the device's cost in the U.S.

The deal is profitable for the Arabian company as well. You see, the status of Apple’s official partner will surely let Jarir Bookstore lure more clients, increase the income and the popularity of the store chain.
