Apple Releases iOS 9.1 Beta 3 to Developers and Public Testers

Apart from releasing iOS 9.0.2 and OS X 10.11 El Capitan to users worldwide, Apple has recently seeded the third beta of iOS 9.1 to developers for testing. The very first testing build of iOS 9.1 was released three weeks ago and could boast of a wide number of performance and stability improvements and bug fixes.

The most-recent iOS 9.1 beta has a build number 13B5130b. Just like previous betas, it features the support for Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil, accessories, which are expected to be widely used with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro announced last month alongside the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Apart from that, iOS 9.1 Beta 3 supports Unicode 8, new emojis and has some tweaks in the Settings app.

If you have a developer account, you can download the latest iOS 9.1 build right now. It is available either via Apple’s Developer Center or as an OTA-update.

This same iOS 9.1 version is also available for the members of Apple’s public beta testing program, so if you have a registered account, you can get the latest update as well. Keep in mind iOS 9.1 is a beta and thus can be unstable. It’s not recommended to install it on your main device.
