Apple Seeds OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Beta 2 to Developers
Apart from seeding the second beta of iOS 8.4.1 to developers for testing, the guys from Cupertino have also made OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 available for registered developers. I’d like to point out that this versions in only a minor update that contains a number of bug fixes, performance improvements and stability enhancements. You won’t see any design changes or new features added to OS X 10.10.5.
The release comes two weeks after the release of the previous OS X 10.10.5 beta and about a month after releasing the final version of OS X 10.10.4 to users worldwide.
The reason for Apple to seed this version of Yosemite remains unknown. Most likely, the update contains a number of changes that will make the process of upgrade to OS X El Capitan a bit faster and easier. By the way, the build number of OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Beta 2 is 14F19a.
If you have a compatible Mac and a developer account, you can get the latest OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 beta right now. It should be mentioned that installing this OS X build on your main computer is definitely not the best idea as it may be quite unstable. Anyway, the second OS X 10.10.5 beta is available either from Apple’s dev portal or via the Software Update option of the Mac App Store.
