AT&T was ranked as a worst carrier in the USA
New Consumer Reports reader survey reveals that AT&T, which is an exclusive American wireless provider of the iPhone, had dropped significantly in customer satisfaction in this year.
Moreover, the company received the worst-possible scores in service, value and customer support, and the texting service was the only one exclusion of this list. According to the survey, more than a half of AT&T consumers have iPhones. That's why Consumer Reports electronics editor Paul Reynolds thinks that bringing iPhone to Verizon will be a successful step for Apple.
"Our survey suggests that an iPhone from Verizon Wireless, which is rumored, could indeed be good news for iPhone fans".
The highest score was earned by U.S. Cellular though it serves only in 26 states mostly in the Midwest and South. Verizon Wireless had second place, and the third place was taken by Sprint. Previously Verizon Wireless was the best provider in the US since 2003. The fourth place belongs to T-Mobile, which has the best telephone customer support in whole industry but poor service.
AT&T has already studied the survey and responded with following message:
"We take this seriously and we continually look for new ways to improve the customer experience. The fact is wireless customers have choices and a record number of them chose AT&T in the third quarter, significantly more than our competitors".
AT&T also cited a survey from Global Wireless Solutions Inc., which found that the company's consumers experience dropped calls ten times rarer than users of Verizon's services. It was also found that AT&T maintains wireless speeds that are much faster than Verizon.
