AT&T was ranked as a worst carrier in the USA
New Consumer Reports reader survey reveals that AT&T, which is an exclusive American wireless provider of the iPhone, had dropped significantly in customer satisfaction in this year.
Moreover, the company received the worst-possible scores in service, value and customer support, and the texting service was the only one exclusion of this list. According to the survey, more than a half of AT&T consumers have iPhones. That's why Consumer Reports electronics editor Paul Reynolds thinks that bringing iPhone to Verizon will be a successful step for Apple.

Leave a commentPublishers Are Still in a Stalemate with Apple
Today Peter Kafka, who is a journalist writing for MediaMemo blog, reported that publishers and Apple cannot still come to an agreement on subscriptions for iPad content in the App Store. The reason is still the same - publishers want to provide personal data about subscribers to advertisers, while Apple doesn't want to do this.
However, Apple proposes an alternative to the publishers, notably an opt-in form which will allows subscribers to choose whether publications can get an access to a "limited amount of information", which includes user's name, e-mail and physical mailing address, or not.

Apple Refused From Demos in Mac App Store
After the release of the second build of Mac OS X 10.6.6 Apple has also updated its Developer News portal, and now it contains few new tips for developers they should read before considering to submit their Mac apps for approval. With one of it the company confirmed that it will not accept any kind of beta, trial or demo versions of the programs in its new Store.
But for those who still want to promote demo versions of their products Apple suggests developers to hosts such versions on their own websites.

Inifinity Blade Will Be Released on Dec. 9
This Tuesday Epic Games and Chair Entertainment announced that their much-anticipated game Infinity Blade will appear in the App Store on December, 9. The title will be supported by iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G and 4G, and the iPad. The price will be $5.99.
Infinity Blade is announced to be a universal game, which means that users will be able to purchase and then play it on multiple devices, like an iPad and iPhone. It will also feature a support with Apple's social gaming network Game Center.

Branson's Project magazine appears on iPad
Richard Branson, who is a British millionaire, has finally launched his iPad-only magazine called Project.
The magazine application with the same name recently appeared in the App Store and may already offer its debut issue. The latter was released this Tuesday and has actor Jeff Bridges on its cover to promote his new movie titled Tron:Legacy.

The Chinese Economy Daily News reports that the Apple's next generation iPad will add 5 distinct new features, including:

- Better mobility

- New display technology
- 3-axis gyroscope
Acer revealed its plans on competing with Apple on tablets market
This week Acer revealed that it's going to ship two Android-based tablets in April 2011, and one Windows 7 tablet in February 2011.

Apple will release iOS 4.2 today
Apple recently published a press release stating that new firmware iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad will be available today.
Apple® today announced that iOS 4.2, the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, is available today for download for iPad™, iPhone® and iPod touch®. iOS 4.2 brings over 100 new features from iOS 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 to iPad including Multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox, Game Center, AirPlay® and AirPrint.
The iOS 4.2 update is available today to download to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch by syncing the device with iTunes 10.1. iOS 4.2 is compatible with iPad, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, second and third generation iPod touch (late 2009 models with 32GB or 64GB) and new iPod touch. Some features may not be available on all products. For example, Multitasking requires iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third generation iPod touch (late 2009 models with 32GB or 64GB) or later.
However users are unable to update through iTunes right now, as well as there are no download links yet. The expected release time is 10 am Pacific Time.

Apple and News Corp Are Rumored To Work Together On iPad Newspaper
These days high-end fashion journal for women Women's Wear Daily revealed that Apple CEO Steve Jobs and News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch have been working closely on some project, which is called the Daily. It is said that there is a possibility Murdoch and Jobs together will soon appear onstage to unveil their new product.
The Guardian in the United Kingdom also posted info on that and specified that this is the tablet-only project, which will be allegedly developed with the help of Apple engineers and won't have a web edition or print edition.

Apple Releases iOS 4.2.1 Golden Master to Developers
While we were all waiting for Apple to finally release iOS 4.2 to the general public, the company seeded a new golden master of iOS 4.2, known as iOS 4.2.1, to developers. Apple has instructed developers not to resubmit their applications under the new build, suggesting that this new version only fixes some minute bugs and no new features have been added.

With the release of iTunes 10.1 Apple’s music service, Ping, comes to the iPad. Good news for Ping addicts! Now you may find all the usual Ping features in the iPad's iTunes app. With Ping for iPad, users can check their friends' activity, see who they're following, or make changes to their profile. The iPad integration also allows users to "like" or comment on posts from people they follow, and quickly purchase recommended music from the iTunes Store. Then, you can use it to find new people to follow and control your news feed.

Apple has launched a new section of the iTunes App Store, a Hall of Fame, containing everything iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad from Angry Birds to Zen Bound 2. There are around 50 apps honored so far and includes news, travel, sports, entertainment, productivity, and of course, lots of great games. The list includes both free and paid apps. Apple did a great job selecting these. Of course, they were probably helped by the massive app sales data they have. Most, if not all of the apps, are fairly “obvious” choices that you probably already own.

HyperMac becomes HyperJuice because of Apple's lawsuit
Today Daniel Chin, who is a president of Sanho Corporation, revealed in a press release that the company's HyperMac product line will get new brand "HyperJuice" because of a lawsuit that was filed by Apple.
"In the coming weeks, the 'HyperMac' brand name will be renamed to 'HyperJuice' as part of our ongoing comprehensive licensing negotiations with Apple regarding a wide array of technologies and issues".
Fortune also confirms the release of CDMA-enabled iPhone next year
This Friday Fortune also confirmed the information about CDMA-enabled iPhone, which will be allegedly shipped in early 2011.
The report was written by Sara Ellison, who notes that after the release of new iPhone the Verizon's network will be overloaded by the millions of new customers, as the same had happened with AT&T network earlier.
