EA Games is working on an iPhone version of the game Command & Conquer. This video was presented on a gaming conference E3:

ComputerWorld points out a little publicized fact that iPhone 3.0's Safari browser will support Geolocation services. This means that websites will be able to request your current location (if you give them permission). Google said they will be launching the Latitude website for iPhone after the 3.0 OS is released.

Photos look like real and present screenshots from future iPhone. The gallery shows the video/camera screen, compass, the autofocus and other things.

NimbleKit a good kit that will help to create an application for iPhone. Developers can use just HTML and JavaScript, there is no need in any special knowledge relating to Objective-C.

NYC UpNext 3D is a new application available in AppStore. It offers a 3D map of New York. There is a support for GPS, users can see their position and all the surrounding streets. The application also includes Manhattan. Every single building is shown with the correct proportions of height, width and thickness. UpNext 3D NYC integrates many points of interest and users reviews. The app is very well made. There is even a subway map.

App costs $2.99 (AppStore link). Here's a video demonstration:

This is a new pinball game for iPhone called The Deep:

YXFlash is a new application that is available in Cydia and includes the codecs to display Xvid / DivX video files . We will not longer need to convert movies into a format supported by Apple. The converted videos do play a bit smoother due to hardware acceleration, but xvid videos are watchable, at least the ones I tested. The player also plays flash content if you have downloaded flash flv videos to your device. It is not a web based flash player, this does not play flash videos embedded on websites. In order to add the videos just upload them using iFunBox or iPhone Browser.

Here is the complete list of formats supported by the complete version:
