Video Shows Leaked iPhone 6s Display Assembly
As you already know, Apple is expected to release a new iPhone on September 9th. Even though the mass-production of the next-generation handset is delayed 1-2 weeks, a new video has recently appeared on the Internet showing the leaked iPhone 6s front panel with LCD assembly compared to the same part from the iPhone 6. The video has been posted to MacManiack’s official YouTube channel and is available below.
As you’ve just seen, the iPhone 6s front panel looks nearly identical to the iPhone 6 panel. Both parts have the same thickness and positions of front camera and speaker. Still, there are some differences, namely, the shape of flex connectors and Touch ID cable as well as iPhone 6s’s support of Force Touch technology.
The assembly in the video is superficially identical to parts that have shown up from China in recent weeks, with a slightly different configuration than the iPhone 6 but a similar overall design. According to European repair firm MacManiack, which acquired the assembly from a supplier, the dimensions are identical to the iPhone 6 version.
It should be noted, however, that the origin of the aforementioned part remains unknown. Although it looks very similar to the original part, it may be a mockup created to tease us ahead of the release of the next-generation iPhone.
