Apple Ranked #5 in Fortune 500 Rating
Apple managed to occupy the fifth spot in the annual Fortune 500 rating. In 2013, the company from Cupertino was on the 6th place, so looks like the gross revenue of about $170 billion helped to move to a higher spot this year.
The rating is based on the sum of money, earned by a company over the last 12 months.
Here's what
Apple’s gross revenues of $170B were enough for the world’s most valuable company by market cap to climb one place in the Fortune 500 ranking, from 6th to 5th place.
First four spots of the rating were given to Walmart, Exxon, Chevron and Berkshire Hathaway. As to the other members of top 10, they include Phillips 66, General Motors, Ford Motor, General Electric and Valero Energy.
