Apple Releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 to Users Worldwide





As you already know, the guys from Cupertino have recently released iOS 8.4.1 with fixes for Apple Music and patches for vulnerabilities used for untethered jailbreak. Apart from that, Apple has released OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with a fix for DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE vulnerability and a number of other enhancements. The release comes two weeks after the release of the last beta for developers and about a month after the official launch of OS X 10.10.5.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 is an under-the-hood update that can boast of a number of improvements aimed at making the operating system more efficient and stable. Aside from the fix for the vulnerability mentioned above, Apple has added some fixes for Mail, Photos and QuickTime Player.

The guys from Cupertino have also released something called Security Update 2015-006 for OS X Mavericks and OS X Mountain Lion as well as Safari 6.2.8 for Mountain Lion, Safari 7.1.8 for Mavericks and Safari 8.0.8 for Yosemite.

The latest update is available for all Apple users with compatible Mac computers. To get it, open the Updates section of the Mac App Store and click ‘Update’.

OS X 10.10.5 is probably the latest update to Yosemite. This fall, Apple is expected to release OS X El Capitan 10.11.
