Apple Releases Third OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 Beta to Developers and Public Testers
Apple on Wednesday seeded the third OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 beta to developers and public testers. The release took place one week after the release of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 Beta 2 and the public release of OS X El Capitan 10.11.
The latest update is quite similar to the previous pre-release version of OS X El Capitan. It has a build number 15B30a and contains a number of minor stability, security and performance improvements. The third beta of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 supports Unicode 8 and new emojis and features a number of bug fixes.
Looks like it’s a minor update with under-the-hood improvements, which contains no new features or design tweaks.
If you have a developer account, or if you have registered as a member of Apple’s public beta testing program, you can download the most-recent OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 beta right now. As usual, it is available either through Apple’s dev portal or using the Software Update option of the Mac App Store. Don’t install the latest update on your main machine as it may become quite unstable.
