Apple to Release iPhone 6 with 128GB of Memory on Board?
According to the latest leaked schematics shared by GeekBar, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to release a 128GB iPhone 6 model. If the schematics are legitimate, in September we may see three devices: with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of memory on board. Yes, this is not a mistake. As you can see on the image below, the 32GB iPhone 6 model is missing from the list, so looks like there will be no iPhone with such an amount of memory.
The same table from the image shows us that three firms, namely, Hynix, Toshiba and SanDisk will supply Apple with memory.
According to the chart, the 16GB memory will be supplied by Toshiba and Hynix, the 64GB memory will be supplied by Hynix, Toshiba, and SanDisk, while the larger 128 GB units will come from Toshiba alone. Although the 32GB memory is missing from the list, it doesn't necessarily mean that Apple has dropped this option. However, its absence is notable.
Earlier this year, a report appeared on the Internet that suggested that Apple may indeed release a 128GB version of its next-generation iPhone. However, it was said that only 5.5-inch handset would get such an amount of memory. Well, we’ll see.
