Apple Watch Generates Nearly $1.7 Billion in Sales in About 5 Months

According to the latest figures shared by reliable insiders, the Apple Watch sales in the past five months generated at least $1.688 in revenue. Even though Apple did not share any specific figures related to the wearable device during the recent conference devoted to the financial results in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015, it looks like the immense growth of revenue from the "Other Products" category is caused by the strong sales of the Apple Watch.

AppleInsider reporters write that it was Apple’s first-ever wearable device that allowed to top the last-year’s sales results and it is very difficult not to agree with them.

Apple's catch-all category grew from $8.379 billion in 2014 to $10.067 billion in fiscal 2015. That means the Apple Watch represented at least $1.688 billion in sales for the fiscal year, as first noted by VentureBeat.

Of course, the Apple Watch could have actually accounted for considerably more than that sum, as it remains unknown how the rest of Apple's "Other Products" performed in 2015.

Of course, such products as the Apple TV and the iPod touch, which was updated back in July, have contributed to the record-breaking sales, however, their merit is considerably smaller than that of the Apple Watch.
