iPad Air Takes Major Tablet Spot in the USA in December
Apple’s iPad Air has taken a top tablet spot in December in the USA. More than 40% of all Apple tablets sold during the holiday season were iPad Airs, reports research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners. Anyway, these are only the estimates.
As noted by
iPad Air accounted for 41 percent of iPads sold, while the fourth generation "iPad with Retina Display" made up another 13 percent. The lowest price iPad 2 represented only 5 percent of sales. Together, the full sized iPads were 59 percent of Apple's tablet sales.
As to the “small” iPads - both iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display - they’ve taken 41% of the market.
Apple is expected to reveal its official financial results of the Q4 2013 and the information about iPhone and iPad sales during the holiday season on January 27th.
