iPad Resales Increased 700-1000%

As MarketWatch reports, websites specializing in device resales saw enormous increase in iPad interest after Apple's media event yesterday, with submission for resale rising 700-1000 percent. Chief gadget officer at Gazelle.com Anthony Scarsella said:

“Some 140,000 devices were put up for sale on Gazelle.com Tuesday – a 700% spike from the day before. Half of that increase occurred in the hours just before the announcement, and the most common model put up for sale was the “new iPad” released just six months ago”.

Despite the fact that new iPad models will not launch until November 2, it appears that users are already moving to sell their current tablets in order to buy the latest models. The report notes that about 70 percent submissions for resale are made for the iPad 3, with the 32 GB Wi-Fi iPad currently being the most popular tablet for resale at Gazelle.

For the iPad 3 in flawless shape, Gazelle is now offering $350/$300/$250 for various capacities, giving users a considerable amount of money towards buying one of the new models.
