iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S6 Edge: Which One Has Better Fingerprint Sensor?
Following the video showing the iPhone 6 compared to the recently-released Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in terms of speed and responsiveness, a new clip appeared on the Internet earlier today showing the work of fingerprint scanners on both handsets. Just like the previous video, this one was shot by PhoneArena reporters at Mobile World Congress. You may take a look at it below.
Both Touch ID in the iPhone 6 and the fingerprint sensor found in the Galaxy S6 Edge are pretty fast. Since Samsung has improved its sensor, now it recognizes your fingerprint each time you press the home button. And this is a massive improvement if to compare the S6 Edge with the Galaxy S5, which was released last year.
In terms of speed and responsiveness, Touch ID seems to be a bit faster. However, an average user won’t feel any discomfort as the difference in speed of reaction is barely noticeable and is caused not by the hardware, but by the software. Yes, I’m now talking about Samsung’s TouchWiz.
We'd say that Sammy's finger scan is just as reliable as the one on Apple's flagship, as each unlock attempt was met with success. Now, as far as speed goes, the Galaxy S6 unlocks just a bit slower than the iPhone 6.

In any case, we'd say that for normal usage, not comparison and nitpicking, the sensor is speedy enough so that the user wouldn't notice a difference.
