Leaked MacBook Pro Casing Proves Rumors About New Device
Last month, first rumors about the next-generation MacBook Pro appeared on the Internet. These rumors suggested that the laptop will get numerous hardware improvements and a new design similar to the design of the 12-inch MacBook. There also will be a new OLED panel instead of function keys row, insiders claim. Looks like they are telling the truth.
The images shared earlier this week by Cult of Mac reporters show something what appears to be a top casing for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro. The casing lacks spaces for the function keys row and is a bit thinner than the casing of the current model. Moreover, there are four cutouts for USB-C ports. This may mean that Apple will indeed use an OLED panel to replace some keys and make the laptop more similar to the 12-inch MacBook in terms of design.
According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new MacBook Pros will feature the "most significant upgrade ever undertaken by Apple," with the machines set to be released during the fourth quarter of 2016.
Apple hasn’t yet commented on the rumors about the future MacBook Pro update. Some rumors may appear after Apple’s WWDC conference in June, but it is very unlikely Apple will announce the new laptops during the event.
