Microsoft Releases New Anti-Apple Ad, Mocks Siri

Microsoft has recently released a new ad, where company’s virtual assistant Cortana is compared to Apple’s Siri. In the short video we may see how Cortana successfully performs a number of contextually-aware tasks using several popular services. Siri, surprisingly, failed to perform the same task.

The ad is available below. Take a look and let me know what you think about it.

Say hello to Cortana, your new personal assistant. Cortana will remind you to leave early to beat traffic and help you get to your destination on time, will remind you that you need milk when passing the grocery store, and will remind you to say happy birthday when your mom calls. Available now on the new Nokia Lumia 635 and on other Lumia phones.

This is not the first time Microsoft mocks Apple or its products. Over the past months, the guys from Redmond created a number of ads comparing Apple’s iPhone and iPad to devices with Windows on board. Looks like making fun of the rival is a part of company’s marketing strategy.
