New iPhones to get 3GB of RAM and Fast Charging – Analyst

All three iPhones scheduled to be released this year will get 3GB of RAM and fast charging capabilities. The report comes from Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri.

The analyst believes that the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone 8 as well as the 4.7-inch iPhone 7s and 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus with LCD screens will get 3GB of RAM. Moreover, all handsets will feature Lightning connectors supporting the USB Type-C Power Delivery technology.

Arcuri also adds that the OLED iPhone will be available with 32GB or 256GB of storage, while the other two models may be equipped with 32GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage on board.

The latest report goes in line with earlier rumors connected with the upcoming iPhone 8 refresh shared by Ming-Chi Kuo. Arcuri analyses Apple’s supply chain, so his data is most likely accurate.

Apple will unveil new iPhones at a media event in September. The top-of-the-line model may be delayed due to problems with 3D sensors. The price of the cheapest iPhone 8 version will be $850.
