'New Watch Launch Coming in the Spring,' Says Apple SVP Angela Ahrendts

According to a video message sent by Apple's Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores Angela Ahrendts to retail employees, transcript of which was obtained by 9to5Mac, the recently-announced Apple Watch will finally hit the store shelves in the "spring" of 2015. In case you don't know, back in September, the guys from Cupertino promised that the smartwatch will become available "early next year". Today's release timing is more specific and this is good for potential customers.

While explaining that employees need to conserve energy for upcoming shopping seasons, Ahrendts stated, “we’re going into the holidays, we’ll go into Chinese New Year, and then we’ve got a new watch launch coming in the spring.”

In the message, Ahrendts also says Apple retail employees will be trained how to present the new smartwatch to customers and how to help them try it on, however, she fails to mention the exact date of the start of these trainings.

Earlier some rumors appeared online that suggested that the Apple Watch will hit the stores on the Valentine's Day (February 14). Looks like these rumors can no longer be called plausible.
