Rumors: Apple Turns From Samsung To Other A6 Processor Manufacturers
Samsung, one of the main Apple’s component suppliers, is likely to face a financial blow from Apple. It is rumored that Apple is actively looking for alternative A6 chip manufacturers. The designed in-house A6 processor is expected to debut in iPad 3 next year and afterwards find its way into iPhone 6.

"Apple recently conducted a visit to SPIL’s assembly line, and both parties discussed opportunities for cooperation, the sources revealed. SPIL stands a chance of becoming the first packaging and testing service provider designated by Apple, cutting into the supply chain of the vendor’s processor line, the sources said".
The report states that SPIL is probably to “snatch outsourcing orders” for the Apple's A6 processors. It is no surprise that like all companies rumored to conduct negotiations with Apple, SPIL is denying this story.
This information corroborates rumors that Apple is shifting its orders from Samsung to other Asian manufacturers due to legal disputes and competitive issues with South Korean supplier.
Earlier it was reported that Apple and TSMC began test run of the quad-core A6 chip. In addition, the deal with TSMC is said to include manufacture of A5 processors, which suggests that Samsung is no longer an exclusive supplier of processors for iOS devices.
