Apple looking to hire iBookstore marketing manager

1Apple has posted a new job listing looking for a marketing manager specifically for the iBookstore. The listing seeks an experienced business marketer "to drive awareness and sales of iBooks through co-marketing programs with publishers and authors, strategic partnerships, and via online and direct marketing tactics." It seems like a lot of the position will be self-driven, as whoever's chosen will be asked to come up with some interesting schemes to push iBook sales, both with publishers, and even across the other divisions of iTunes. But the bottom line is of course sales -- Apple wants someone to push iBooks, specifically in the US.

Software Update to Fix iPhone 3G Performance Issues is on Its Way

iOS4Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, confirmed that the new software update iOS 4.x will appear in the near future to correct performance problems on the iPhone 3G, which works on iOS 4.x. He confirmed it while answering to the email he got from a user who was disappointed with the iPhone 3G performance running on iOS 4, describing it as "dog slow".

Although he did not mention a specific version or date of its release we can guess that he was specking about iOS 4.1, which is going to be released next month, when iTV (Apple TV) and the next generation iPod touch will spotlight.

iPhone 5 to Be Made of Liquid Metal, à la T-1000 from Terminator 2?

T1000Do you remember the robot called T-1000 Skynet made of liquid metal in the film Terminator 2? It seems that Steve Jobs decided to create devices of next generation using Liquidmetal Technologies, a California company from which Apple has recently acquired the exclusive rights for creation of liquid metal alloy products.

One of the best and most distinctive factors in all Apple products is how this company produces its own devices, the quality of production, as well as the materials used, which, undoubtedly, have first-class quality.

Now that Apple has the exclusive rights to create products of the liquid metal, we can assume that it has no plans to create a robot for the next Terminator movie, but probably will use it for such devices as iMac, iPad and iPhone of the next generation in order to be one step ahead of its competitors.

16-Year-Old Kid to Get $1,000,000 following Steve Jobs

500x_branchrkidHere is the story of a 16-year-old boy whose name is Christian Owens. Being so young, he managed to make $1,000,000, following the steps of his mentor Steve Jobs who is Apple’s CEO.

Being an unusual boy, he achieved this result after 2 years of work in the Internet. Read how he did it: “The British teenager living in Corby, Northamptonshire got his first computer at 7. Three years later, he got a Mac and started studying the principles of web design. In 2008 when he was 14, he founded his first company. It was a simple website that some people may know: Mac Bundle Box. The website was pretty good and corresponded to the principles of design and style oа Apple.”

The website offered software at incredibly low prices, for example, an application that costs $ 400, here its price was just $ 50. This business has been developing and for the first two years of its work the website Mac Bundle Box has brought its owner $ 1,000,000. But he didn’t stop and created another 17 websites for the iPhone and Android applications, and new company called Branchr ...

A Gyroscope Will Be Added To The Next-Gen iPad

Jobs_Gyroscope

According to UBM TechInsights, Apple had been testing an InvenSense gyroscope in its iPad prototypes, but final version of the next-gen iPad will use a component from STMicroelectronics, which is also used in the iPhone 4. The company's product manager Steve Bitton wonders why there is no gyroscope in the current iPad.

“It seemed strange at the time that a product like the iPad would have been designed to not include a gyroscope but an iPhone 4 that was being designed at around the same time would”.

Moreover, Bitton disassembled an iPad and found an empty space where gyroscope exactly fits. And if InvenSense unit requires 24 pads, STMicro L3G4200D unit needs only 16 pads and is already used in the iPhone 4, so it obviously will be easier for Apple to use a component, which is also already supported by an iOS4.

"Apple probably chose to wait until the next iteration of the iPad to introduce gyroscope capabilities [and plans] to use [the] ST Micro’s L3G4200D to reduce the amount of [software] development required”.

Front Part of The Next-Gen iPod Touch Has a Space for Camera

iPodTouchPart1 iPodTouchPart2

This Thursday Macrumors received photos of one of the next-gen iPod touch parts, which reveal a hole above the display that will be most likely used for the camera. The pictures were sent by an unknown iPhone parts supplier.

Previously some resources reported about the presence of a camera and flash on the back of upcoming iPod touch. If all this information is true, the next-gen device will have two cameras to support FaceTime like the iPhone 4.

Apple wanted to build camera into the last iPod touch a year ago, but due to the technical problems the decision was annulled. When the final version of the player appeared on the market a space for camera was found inside of it after disassembling.

FaceTime support in iPod touch will be no surprise as previously Steve Jobs said that this year Apple will ship millions of devices compatible with FaceTime.

iPhone 4 will be used to make porn

Invent the newest gadget and the porn industry will find a way to cash in. Associated Press reports:

When Apple Inc. launched the iPhone 4 and its FaceTime video conference feature, it didn't take long for adult-entertainment companies to develop video-sex chat services and start hiring workers through Craigslist.

On the photograph above, taken July 21, 2010, adult film star Teagan Presley poses with her iPhone 4 in Atlanta. Presley is experimenting with Apple's FaceTime feature.

We all remember how Steve Jobs talked about iPhone's and iPad's "freedom from porn" in email conversation. It looks like in real life FaceTime and new iPhone 4 will push forward porn industry.

iPhone3GS_Seoul

"It's going to take us a little longer to get government approval there".

Korean government and people were discomfited by these words. According to The Wall Street journal, there is nothing to approve yet.

"The main communications regulator said last week that neither Apple nor KT [local iPhone carrier] had yet submitted the iPhone 4 for approval here".
