Autodesk Inventor Fusion For Mac Platform Soon Available

At Macworld Autodesk showed off its new program Autodesk Inventor Fusion for the Mac. Autodesk Inventor Fusion is an existing 3D modeling software on Windows, and soon it will become available for the first time on the Mac.

Autodesk hit the headlines in 2010 when the company returned to the Mac platform with AutoCAD after nearly a two decade hiatus. Due to the popularity of their existing Mac products, Autodesk will be releasing Inventor Fusion for the Mac.

In the next several weeks, the company will release a free Technology Preview for the software that will allow users to download an initial version and provide feedback. Autodesk plans to launch the final version of the program at some time later. Inventor Fusion is said to be an easy to use 3D modeling software focused on mechanical design which includes physical properties of objects.

“Autodesk® Inventor® Fusion is 3D modeling software that showcases intuitive direct manipulation capabilities for unrivaled ease of use. By uniting direct modeling and parametric workflows, Inventor Fusion offers the best of both worlds. Designers can freely explore complex shapes and forms while maintaining the underlying parametric history. Inventor Fusion makes it easy to open and edit 3D models from almost any source and incorporate them into your design, enabling rapid design changes without limitations”.

The program will incorporate seamless cloud access for web viewing, collaboration and storage. Autodesk has created a Facebook page dedicated to Inventor Fusion and will announce the availability of Mac download in the foreseeable future.
