FixYa Study Finds iPhones To Be The Most Reliable Smartphones





FixYa, a site that provides troubleshooting tips, today published a "Smartphone Reliability Report", comparing user complaints on Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy, Motorola’s Droid and Nokia’s Lumia.

Based on the reported issues, coming from a database of around 30 million users, FixYa gave a dependability score to each smartphone. According to its rankings, iPhones were the most reliable smartphones with the fewest reported issues.

Apple’s iPhone got a dependability score of 3.47, which is well above the 1.21 score received by the Galaxy. Motorola and Nokia achieved scores of 0.13 and 0.68, respectively.

“Fixya users lauded the reliability of the iPhone, stating that it is almost always working as intended in regards to core features and never hits a constant roadblock with one feature”.

Among the complaints about iPhones, battery life was the problem number one, making up 35% of issues experienced by users. The second biggest complaint was a lack of new features, while Wi-Fi problems and no customizability were also brought up.

As for the iPhone’s competitors, user complained about Samsung's speaker and microphone issues, Nokia's load response times and Motorola's touchscreen.
