Apple released iOS 6.1.3 which fixes a lock screen passcode bug and brings improvements to Maps in Japan. It also disables Evasi0n jailbreak.

As Bloomberg reports, Samsung has confirmed rumors from last month that it is working on its own smart watch. Given the rumors that Apple is preparing to release its "iWatch" device as soon as this year, it seems that the two rivals will again compete head-to-head in this emerging market segment.

Primate Labs has posted benchmarks scores for the new Samsung Galaxy S 4 revealing that the device is nearly twice as fast as the iPhone 5.

I've charted the Geekbench 2 scores for the Samsung Galaxy S4 along with several Android phones, the iPhone 5, and the BlackBerry Z10. If you're not familiar with Geekbench 2, higher scores are better.

Australian Consumer Protections law requires that sellers of products provide warranties for a reasonable period of time from date of delivery until the problem becomes apparent, which has been interpreted for computers as two years. Apple offers a standard warranty for one year on all its products, while AppleCare provides coverage for three years on Macs.
