Apple Sells 1.6 Million iPhones in Russia during 2013 - Estimates





The company from Cupertino reportedly sold nearly 1.6 million iPhones in Russia during 2013, even though in the first half of the year Apple’s handsets were not available on Russia’s largest carriers - MegaFon, Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) and VimpelCom.

Apple Takes About 7% of Smartphone Sales in China



Apple’s market share on Chinese market grew one percent in the last quarter. Now the company from Cupertino takes about 7% of smartphone sales in the country, AppleInsider reports. However, I should say that these figures do not include China Mobile iPhone sales.

Apple Will Fix MacBook Air Issue Causing System Crashes



The company from Cupertino is currently working on a fix for MacBook Air issue that causes system crashes each time the laptop is wakened. As to the possible reason for the problem, it is reportedly a bug in the sensor responsible for detecting when the lid is being open.

iBand unofficial concept [Video]



A concept of a new Apple product called 'iBand 'was presented by T3. It is a fitness band.

While rumours have been rife over the past twelve months that an Apple iWatch could be on the way, we here at T3 think there are other avenues for Cupertino to explore. Lifestyle bands such as the Nike+ Fuelband SE and Fitbit Force are swiftly becoming the go-to wearables of choice. At the CES trade show in Vegas last month, it seemed every tech firm in business was planning a fitness tracker of some sort or another. Naturally then, we here at T3 Towers began to wonder if Apple could lean towards a health and lifestyle band instead of a smartwatch?

Apple to Continue Using Separate LTE Chips and CPUs for iPhones - Rumor



According to the latest rumors, Apple won’t use an integrated chip combining a central processor and an LTE modem in its next-generation iPhone. As noted by iDownloadBlog (with reference to Fudzilla), Apple will continue working with Qualcomm - company’s main LTE chips supplier. As to the CPUs, they will probably be produced by TSMC since Samsung encountered some manufacturing problems.

Samsung Galaxy S5 to Feature Awkward Fingerprint Scanner?



Following Apple’s example, Samsung will add a fingerprint sensor to its Galaxy S5. According to the latest SamMobile report, the user will have to swipe across the home key at a moderate speed to make the sensor recognize the fingerprints. Not as convenient as Apple’s Touch ID, right?
