FaceHalt Brings the Smart Pause Feature to iOS Devices
One of the most interesting Samsung Galaxy S4’s features is probably Smart Pause. This is the feature that automatically pauses video playback each time you look away. For quite a long period of time those who use iPhones had to put up with the fact that there’s nothing similar for the iOS platform. And then FaceHalt was released.
FaceHalt is a new tweak for jailbroken devices that works similar to the Samsung’s Smart Pause. In fact, it uses your iPhone’s front facing camera to detect when you look away from the display to pause the video or movie you’re watching at the moment.
The new tweak’s compatible with iPhone 4S and 5 and iPad 2, 3, 4, and iPad mini on top of that. Moreover, if you’re using an iPod touch (5th generation) FaceHalt will work on it as well. The developer also says this tweak will hook into most applications.
One may activate FaceHalt through the Settings menu using the Enable/Disable toggle. Along with using this smart feature, it is possible to manually pause the playback, too.
The tweak is available in the BigBoss repository for $2.
