Apple Releases OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan with Numerous Fixes
Aside from releasing iOS 9.1 to users worldwide, Apple has also released OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan. The release comes less than a month after the release of the very first El Capitan build, which contained a number of performance, stability and security enhancements as well as some new features for Safari, Mail and Spotlight.
According to Apple, OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan brings some serious improvements. The company engineers have fixed the bugs causing problems with Microsoft Office 2016 compatibility. Apart from that, the issues with Mail app not displaying messages and some plugins not working properly have already been fixed. Apple has also improved the VoiceOver reliability and added more than 150 new emojis supporting Unicode 7.0 and 8.0. These same emojis can be also found in iOS 9.1.
If you have a compatible Mac running OS X 10.11 El Capitan, you can download and install the latest version of Apple’s desktop operating system right now. It is available through the Software Update mechanism of the Mac App Store. It is recommended that all users update their machines to OS X 10.11.1 as soon as possible as it contains a number of important fixes.
