Apple Stores to use new Concierge app for customer check-ins
Soon every Apple retail stores will have its own Concierge. That means that every Apple store will launch a new wireless check-in service. Such service will allow employees to manage a queue of customers via a custom iOS app called Concierge.
The application sends a push notification to employees if there is a customer, who uses an iOS device for checking-in to the Apple Store. Employees will be able to monitor an “iQueue” with a list of currently waiting customers and their check-in times. The app will also be able to notify customers of their position in line and send a photo of the employee who will help them.
