Looking at the photo above, it would seem that the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdulah, is communicating with his business partners using the iPad 3G. Is this magic device is available even there?

However, we've got new photos, which clearly show that Abdulah is really using the iPad 3G.

Intel will increase its presence in the mobile phone market with the announced $1.4 billion acquisition of the wireless division of Infineon, a significant component supplier for Apple's iPhone.

Intel and Infineon announced  that they had agreed to the deal, in which Intel will own the wireless business of Germany's Infineon Technologies in exchange for $1.4 billion in cash. The deal pertains to a range of wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, 3G, WiMAX and LTE. Infineon makes the baseband chip found in the iPhone, and the company has had a strong partnership with Apple, supplying chipsets for Apple's smartphone since it was first released in 2007.

Apple’s Special Event kicks off tomorrow, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. This annual media event usually focuses on the iPod line, but recent rumors suggest that there might be other topics covered as well. Let’s see a brief summary of what we might expect tomorrow.

Who knew that credit card processing would be the new hotness for smartphones? The Square mobile payment system has been making waves by letting small businesses receive credit card payment directly on their smartphones. Now, mophie and Intuit are looking to get in on the same action with their Complete Card Solution for iPhone. It's a $179 package that includes both mophie's card-swiping phone case and the 3.0 version of Intuit's GoPayment app. After a quick application users are said to be approved (or, erm, declined) within 15 minutes and can immediately start accepting payments.

A single account can also cover up to 50 users, meaning an entire sales team could be equipped with these devices. But this case, which encrypts every credit card number before it gets to the phone, will only work with the iPhone 3G/S.

Both iPad Wi-Fi + 3G and iPad Wi-Fi can now be shipped in 24 hours, as is listed at Apple’s online store. And it concerns not just the US but also international stores in the UK and Canada.

Ever since its launch, the supplies of Apple’s new device, proclaimed “magical and revolutionary”, have been very low. This lead to delays in rollouts and rumors said that the reason was the IPS panels which just couldn’t be produced fast enough for the demand.

Either the demand slowed, or the production finally rose. We’ll find that out with the next quarter’s results.

Today you can find a lot of phones with dual slot for SIM cards, most of them are designed for Asian markets, but the iPhone is far from the two SIM cards: in fact, it does not even sport a Big Person SIM to call its own. It became known that this morning at 4:20 a.m. one of the Apple’s stores situated in San Diego, California, was robbed. The thieves were dressed in jeans and hoodies. They did it at night and stole a dozen of iPhones.

According to 10News, two guys were involved in the burglary. They robbed the store, which is located in a shopping center of San Diego. According to preliminary estimates, they stole 12 iPhone 4s and 3GS’, which were displayed there.

They smashed the glass door into small pieces, as you can see in the photo.

The investigation has already started, but there are no reports yet about who was involved in the robbery. It is strange that the guys have not taken any other device. Were they looking just for the iPhone is 4 and 3GS?

The developers have recently tested Windows Phone 7. We've already seen how Windows Phone 7 tried to overcome iPhone 3GS that runs on iOS 4. Now Pocketnow offers a unique opportunity to check the web-browsing with Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 7, comparing it with Nexus One, running on Android 2.2 Froyo and iPhone 4 on iOS 4.x.

According to Pocketnow, Windows Phone 7 has something to show your iPhone and Nexus One. But we should not draw hasty conclusions.

Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, confirmed that the new software update iOS 4.x will appear in the near future to correct performance problems on the iPhone 3G, which works on iOS 4.x. He confirmed it while answering to the email he got from a user who was disappointed with the iPhone 3G performance running on iOS 4, describing it as "dog slow".

Although he did not mention a specific version or date of its release we can guess that he was specking about iOS 4.1, which is going to be released next month, when iTV (Apple TV) and the next generation iPod touch will spotlight.

It became known that Lady Gaga, the famous singer, has visited Apple’s 1-Infinite Loop Campus in Cupertino, California, where she was photographed behind the main building with the Apple’s staff. But what was the purpose of her visit? Do you have the same opinion as we, don’t you?

Now it is said that she was probably invited to make a new series of commercials for iPhone 4 about which we have already reported in May.
