Griffin iTrip: FM Transmitter for iPhone

Griffin has produced a new accessory for the iPhone is capable of transmitting the FM signal. It's called iTrip.

itrip

This is one of the first cases of iPhone accessories controlled by an app. iTrip is used in conjunction with a free application called iTrip (AppStore link).

Operation is very simple: connect the Dock accessory, run the iTrip app, click on the "SmartScan" to automatically find the best frequency. Now we can play the music on our iPhone and transmit it to the car radio or home stereo without any problems.

The new iTrip is really well done and is compatible with almost all iPod / iPhone. Costs $50.

Kensington iPhone Car Mount

Kensington has just released a new cradle for your iPhone that passively amplifies the sound from. The device is intended to make it easier to hear spoken driving directions from navigation apps or speaker calls.

Kensington

The cradle can support either portrait or landscape mode and has inserts that will allow it to fit any existing iPhones, including the first generation model. Unlike other models, however, this one only has an opening to make room for a charging cable rather than charging the device through the cradle.

The Kensington Sound Amplified Cradle should be available some time this November for $40 in Apple retail stores.

An iPhone user sent/received 662,258 SMS in 30 days. Sounds like a new record. [Video]

An iPhone 3GS user claims he sent and received 662,258 SMS in 30 days. Now he owns a 13,000 pages bill from AT&T :)

Assuming that the video is not entirely fake, sending and receiving 22,075 messages per day is certainly not something that could be done manually. Nice job!
