iFixIt Tears Apart the New Plastic iPhone 5c
iFixIt experts have teared apart the new Apple’s plastic iPhone to show us what’s inside of the long-expected gadget. This happened on Friday - the day, when the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were officially launched in the United States and several other countries.
The iPhone 5c can boast of a 1510mAh battery, Apple A6 processor and 1GB or RAM. All this makes it very similar to the iPhone 5. Still, it differs from it very much.
Although both new iPhones sport a similar construction and share some internals, don’t get your hopes up too high for parts cross-compatibility, thanks to the differences between the display assemblies and the differently-sized FaceTime/speaker connectors.

iFixit Performed A Teardown Of The New 21,5-inch iMac
iFixit has already completed its of the new 21,5-inch iMac that officially launched on Friday. The company described the teardown as an “exercise in disappointment,” saying that the new thinner design brings new hurdles for reparaibility. Notably, the iMac’s LCD and glass are now glued to the frame, while accessing the CPU, hard drive and RAM now requires removing the logic board. iFixit said:
iPad Mini Teardown Reveals A5 Chip And Samsung Display Driver
iFixit has already performed a of the new iPad mini, revealing its components for the first time. Among the interesting discoveries is the Samsung display driver chip. However, it does not mean that the display was manufactured by Samsung and the codes on the backside of the display do not offer clear evidence of its manufacturer. The production of iPad mini’s display had been reported to be shifted from Samsung to LG and AU Optronics.
13-inch MacBook Pro Teardown Revealed Minor Changes in Accessibility

The teardown offers a look at how Apple has managed to pack all of the details into a body, which has 20 percent less volume than the fifth-generation iPhone. The iPod touch lacks cellular communications technology and carries fewer details, which are consolidated into a handful of parts. The battery and logic board are smaller than in the iPhone 5 and they are arranged in a top-and-bottom layout unlike the side-by-side layout used in the iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S III uses identical Sony-made camera seen in iPhone 4S
iFixit in conjunction with chip analysts ChipWorks tore down Samsung's new Galaxy S III smartphone, revealing that the device is sourcing a newer version of the same Sony-made camera used in the iPhone 4S.
ChipWorks confirmed on Friday that the backside-illuminated sensor found in Samsung's new Galaxy S III handset is being sourced from Sony and may be a newer version of the component used in Apple's iPhone 4S. While iFixit initially claimed that the sensor is "basically the same unit" used in the iPhone 4S, further examination of the chip revealed that it could be a slightly refreshed product. It seems that the camera's sensor is where the similarities between the two devices end, however, as Samsung uses its own memory and optics to complete the unit.
