Apple to Sell 6 Million Apple Watch Units During Holiday Quarter - Analyst
According to the latest report from Daniel Ives of FBR & Co., Apple may sell as many as 6 million Apple Watch units in the holiday quarter of 2015. The prediction is based on the retail Apple store sales during the Black Friday holiday.
So far, Apple has reportedly sold about 6 million Apple Watch units. Doubling this result in the December quarter looks quite possible as in the pre-Christmas weeks people usually buy lots of Apple-branded devices for presents.
It should be noted that the exact number of wearable devices sold to customers worldwide remains unknown as Apple refuses to announce it publicly. Hopefully, the company will reveal the information about the Apple Watch sales early in 2016, after the end of holiday quarter.
Based on checks with Apple retail stores last Friday, analyst Daniel Ives of FBR & Co. has predicted that Apple Watch sales could reach 6 million in the December quarter. If true, that would double his estimated total sales to date of 6 million.
Apple Watch went on sale on major markets back in April. The demand for Apple’s first-ever smartwatch remains incredibly strong.
