Foxconn and Pegatron Hiring New Workers to Assemble iPhone 6?
According to the latest report from Reuters, Apple's main manufacturing partners, namely, Foxconn and Pegatron, are currently hiring new workers for the production of the next-gen iPhone, which is expected to begin in July.
Foxconn has already hired about 100.000 people, which will help assembling the handset, reporters claim. If to speak about Pegatron, it has boosted the number of workplaces at its factories by 30%.
Hon Hai Precision Industry will recruit over 100,000 people in mainland China to produce the newest iPhone from Apple Inc, Taiwan's Economic Daily News said, in what the report called the firm's largest single hiring spree in China.
Fellow Taiwanese contract manufacturer Pegatron Corp will expand its workforce in one mainland factory by 30 percent, also in response to expected high demand for the new iPhone, Economic Daily News said on Monday.
Last year, both companies had to take a similar step as Apple had come up with two handsets - iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
The guys from Cupertino will reportedly release its next-gen iPhone this fall. It will feature a sapphire-covered display, a fingerprint sensor and a number of other improvements.
