According to several images obtained by MacRumors reporters earlier this week, the next-generation iPhone will become slightly thicker and larger that the iPhone 6. The photos showing a device assembled from leaked components come from a reliable source, that is why they can be called trustworthy.
MacRumors has now received several photos showing an iPhone 6s assembled from parts, allowing full measurements of the device to be taken.
As can be seen on the images below, the thickness of the iPhone 6s is 7.08 mm, the height is 138.19 mm and the width is 67.68 mm. If to compare these measurements to the measurements of the iPhone 6 (6.9 mm x 138.1 mm x 67.0 mm), we’ll see a conspicuous difference. The 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus will become even larger, insiders claim.
The most-recent photos go in line with previous rumors shared by usually-reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who claimed earlier this year that the new iPhone will become slightly thicker.
Apple is expected to unveil new iPhones at a media event scheduled for September 9th. You will get an opportunity to watch the live stream of the event on Apple’s official website.
