More Workers Assemble iPhone 5s - Foxconn

Foxconn has been reportedly adding new workers to iPhone 5s assembly lines in order to catch up with the demand on this device. Earlier this month, the company from Cupertino decided to cut down the production of plastic iPhone 5c. As we can see now, this was the right decision as the number of iPhone 5s units available for purchase has grown dramatically since that time.

According to the latest MacRumors report, such rapid growth has become possible due to increased number of workers engaged in Apple’s new flagship assembly.

The Taiwan-based contract manufacturer, which has more than one million workers in China, has operated 100 production lines around the clock  in Zhengzhou, north central China, at full capacity, according to executives at Hon Hai. The company has about 300,000 workers at its Zhengzhou site , dedicated to just making the iPhone 5S and key components such as metal casings.

“We have been churning out about 500,000 iPhone 5Ss everyday, the highest daily output ever,” said the executive who declined to be named.

One can purchase iPhone 5s on Apple’s official website.
