New Alleged iPhone 6 Front Panel Seems to Be Legitimate - Expert
A video appeared on the Internet this week that shows the alleged sapphire-covered iPhone 6 front panel being put through various stress tests. The video is available below, so you may take a look at it right now.
It should be noted, however, that there was no possible way to check whether the leaked part is really made of sapphire or not. Everything changed today, when a member of the Department of Materials at the Imperial College in London Neil Alford said that the front panel from the video may indeed be legitimate.
Here’s what the expert says:
In my opinion the screen being shown off in the video could well be a sapphire screen. If you make sapphire thin enough, and it’s flaw free, you can bend it quite considerably because it has an enormous strength.
Apple’s is expected to release its 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in September. The smartphone will boast of a number of notable improvements and new features. Whether we’ll see the 5.5-inch model this fall is still a question without an answer.
