iOS 7 Is Installed on 91% of Devices, Latest Android Version - Only on 21%



According to the latest report from reliable sources, iOS 7 is currently installed on 91% of working devices. This means that the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system has a lower level of fragmentation if compared to Android, the latest version of which is installed only on nearly 21% of the smartphones. The data that deals with the rate of adoption of new versions of popular operating systems and the level of their fragmentation has been recently shared by a research firm called OpenSignal.

iPhone 6 Prototype Renderings Leak Online



Several new images appeared on the Internet on Friday that show us both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models. It should be noted that these are not actual photos of the handsets, but something like the prototype renderings. What is interesting about the smartphones shown on these renderings is that both of them feature protruding camera lenses and all-aluminum rear panels. Apple to Release iPhone 6 with 128GB of Memory on Board?



According to the latest leaked schematics shared by GeekBar, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to release a 128GB iPhone 6 model. If the schematics are legitimate, in September we may see three devices: with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of memory on board. Yes, this is not a mistake. As you can see on the image below, the 32GB iPhone 6 model is missing from the list, so looks like there will be no iPhone with such an amount of memory.

iPhone 6 to Get Display Resolution of 1472 x 828 Pixels?



According to the latest report from 9to5Mac reporter Mark Gurman and an image posted to Instagram by the firm called Feld & Volk, Apple’s next-generation iPhone models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays may get screen resolutions of 1472 x 828 pixels. While earlier it was reported that the new handsets will boast of the resolution of 1704 x 960 pixels, the aforementioned reporter managed to find some other proofs that confirm the new resolution. The proofs have been found  in the latest Xcode 6 beta.

Apple Releases iOS 8 Beta 6 to Select Partners



According to the latest reports from BGR, the guys from Cupertino have recently released iOS 8 Beta 6 to select partners. Leaked Schematics Suggest that iPhone 6 Will Feature 1GB of RAM



According to what has been recently shared by a Weibo user nicknamed GeekBar, Apple’s iPhone 6 will get only 1GB of RAM. This is the same amount of RAM as can be found inside of the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. If the leaked schematics are indeed for the upcoming 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch iPhone 6, we may assume that in terms of the amount of RAM, Apple’s next-generation smartphone will be weaker than the existing flagship devices of the rival vendors, which already have 2GB of RAM on board.

Apple Won't Release iPhones with Sapphire Screens this Year - Analyst



According to the latest report from J.P. Morgan analyst Rod Hall, the guys from Cupertino are very unlikely to equip the iPhone 6 models with the screens made of sapphire. The reason for such a step is the high cost of production of sapphire in large quantities. The analyst notes that using sapphire as the main material for the manufacture of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone displays is about 10 times more expensive than using Corning's Gorilla Glass.

AdThief Malware Infects Nearly 75.000 Jailbroken iPhones and iPads



According to the latest report from a security researcher Axelle Apvrille, a new piece of malware has been recently discovered that is developed to hijack the ad revenue. It is called AdThief. Malicious software infects jailbroken devices, so if you have one, be careful while using Cydia. You see, the malware comes in the form of Cydia Substrate extension and it is nearly impossible for an average user to identify and get rid of it.
