Right after 3.95-inch iPhone 5 news, designers started to create concepts. Here's one of them:

gTar is a new Kickstarter project for an iPhone powered guitar.

The gTar is a fully digital guitar that makes it easy for anybody to play music, regardless of experience. All you have to do is dock your iPhone in the body, load up the gTar app, and an array of interactive LEDs along the fretboard will show you how to play.

You may be asking yourself what it means for a guitar to be "digital." While most guitars have pickups to amplify the sound of vibrating strings, the gTar has none - instead, we've designed the gTar with sensors that detect exactly what you're playing in real-time and relay each note to your iPhone, which then produces the actual sound.

Xvolks has posted a video demonstrating the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak using the new yet unreleased utility Absinthe 2.0.

I've tested Absinthe v2 on my iPhone 4 GSM, iOS 5.1.1. It jailbroke it flawlessly. I've took a (bad) video of it

Pod2g has confirmed the successful untethered jailbreak of iPad 3 with the latest iOS 5.1.1.

OK, tested on an iPad 3,1 running 5.1.1. Jailbroken untethered. No issue.

Last month there were leaks showing how might look the Spotify app for iPad, and today the company launched its long awaited app with the video above and a blog post. The app has landed in the App Store as a free universal download (an update for iPhone users). The service offers a free trial period of 48 hours for non-Premium users that can be increased to 30 days.

Marketplace Shanghai Bureau Chief Rob Schmitz, the second reporter ever to gain access to the factory floor at Apple's Chinese producer Foxconn, has posted a video showing some steps of the iPad's production.

Schmitz was the reporter who revealed that Mike Daisey had falsified many of his stories about Foxconn and the visitors that work there. You can hear his full audio reports on your local public radio station or online at http://www.marketplace.org.

As announced, AT&T has begun unlocking off contract iPhones for customers. TNW details the procedure. If you quality you can contact the company via phone, chat, or in-store.

The only piece of information required by AT&T is the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, which can be found under Settings -> General ->About on your device. Then in 72 hours you will receive email confirmation.

The maximum amount of unlock codes that can be given to an account is 5/year. You can see a copy of the unlock confirmation below.

iClarified performed several boot time tests for iPad 1, iPad 2 and iPad 3 on the latest iOS 5.1.

Surprisingly, the boot time has got slightly slower over each generation. Not a big deal though, since users don't reboot iPad that much anyway.

Yesterday Fair Labor Association published the results of its investigation into three Foxconn facilities. The inspection has revealed a number of violations of the labor law, and following FLA’s recommendations Apple and Foxconn have agreed to bring overtime and working hours in line with the Chinese legal limit of 36 per month and 49 per week. Also Foxconn will hire thousands of new workers and provide a compensation package to ensure employee’s salaries remain at the same level amid reduced overtime and working hours.

The maker of the popular Air Display iOS app Avatron, revealed today that it will update the app to fully support the new iPad. Air Display allows using your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone as an extra screen for your Windows or Mac computer. The video above shows how it works. The iPad acts a wireless additional monitor and OS X can work with it in the same manner as with any other display.
