Google Presented New Gmail UI For iPad
Yesterday Google has announced a new web UI for tablet devices like iPad and others. As you can see from the screenshot above some ideas were taken from Apple's Mail for iPad - the inbox is situated to the left of the screen and the messages appear on the right side.
Google's Product Manager Punit Soni also reported that iPad comes with such pre-installed Google services like Google Search in Safari, YouTube app and Maps app.
It looks like in spite of a tensity that can be observed in the Apple-Google relationship the partnership between these companies is still pretty tight.
FCC Revealed iPad Internal Hardware Photos
Yesterday U.S. Federal Communications Commision revealed internal hardware photos of iPad, though they had originally obtained it as early as on March 12. It is a series of 17 pictures that gives a view of the display, the battery, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips and more. Like in other Apple portable devices there is no empty place to waste.
The display seems to be made by LG Philips. The device has A4 processor, Broadcom BCM5973 chip and NAND flash memory from Toshiba. The solutions provider wrote:
"It looks like there is a LOT of glue holding these chips down to the board. More than we've seen before -- Apple is really serious about durability on this thing."
The device ID in FCC is "BCG-E2381A". The related documents and photos can be found here. Some of the pictures are added below.

New Research: 40M iPads To Be Sold In The Next 3 Years
New forecast published by iSuppli on Friday revealed that approximately 14.4 million iPads will be sold in 2011 and 20.1 million - in 2012. This year won't make a sales record because most of the consumers will buy it for its unique touch-screen. By 2011-2012 the device will become more popular with the increasing number of App Store applications, declining prices and improved functionality, so people will more clearly understand its possible purposes.
But iSuppli claims the research to be "conservative", because it doesn't take into account unforeseen features that Apple can quickly add to iPad to boost sales (for example, integrating Adobe Flash support). However the numbers rely on a patented multi-touch technology that will mainly define the popularity of a new device.

Another Rumor On The Next iPhone Features
A popular tech pundit John Gruber from the DaringFireball.net web-resource laughs at today's WSJ rumor about two new iPhone models coming this summer. He points at the lack of information in the article and hints at the features that he seems to know about:
"...And they have no actual details of the next-generation iPhone. Nothing. Not the A4-family CPU system-on-a-chip. Not the 960 × 640 double-resolution display. Not the second front-facing camera. Not even the third-party multitasking in iPhone OS 4."
Well, the multitasking and front camera were suggested before. But the higher resolution display is something new.
WSJ Says About Two New iPhones To Come
The Wall Street Journal has information about two iPhone models coming this summer. The only difference between them is a CDMA capability:
"The people briefed on the matter said one of the new iPhones is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which produced Apple's previous iPhones. The model that has CDMA capability, used by Verizon Wireless, is being manufactured by Pegatron Technology Corp., the contract manufacturing subsidiary of Taiwan's ASUSTeK Computer Inc., said these people."
Pegatron reports they plan to start mass iPhone producing in September. An AT&T spokesman claims there is a lot of incorrect information about CDMA iPhones and only Apple has the most reliable information.
