Apple Once Again Tops Retail Chains In Sales Per Square Foot in U.S.

According to a report from research company Retail Sails (via Fortune), Apple again tops the U.S. retail store chains with the highest sales numbers per square foot. Company’s sales productivity is estimated at more than $6000 per square foot, twice as much as the sales of Tiffany & Co that took the second place.

Last year Apple also ranked first among U.S. retail chains, with this year’s growth in sales per sq ft of 7,5% ranking second to lululemon's growth of 11,8%. However, Apple’s growth in retail stores sales has slowed significantly from estimates of 49.1% growth in 2011 as Apple has been transitioning to using larger stores and expanded iPad and iPhone distribution channels has siphoned some demand from company’s retail stores.
