Apple Plans to Change iTunes Music Store Dramatically

According to the latest rumors, the company from Cupertino is planning to change the iTunes music store dramatically. The reason for such overhaul is quite simple and obvious: the number of music downloads declines from quarter to quarter and Apple’s iTunes Radio is not as successful as it was expected to be.

In fact, the number of songs downloaded from the iTunes store is 15% lower than a couple of months ago. Moreover, only about 2 people out of every 100 click the ‘Buy’ button in iTunes Radio app.

Here’s how Billboard comments the situation:

As a result, Apple is being forced to consider options that would have been out of the question a few years earlier – an on-demand streaming service, an iTunes store for Google’s Android devices and negotiating download sales windows that favor Apple as first reported by Billboard.

Well, looks like Apple has a lot of work to do. We’ll see how the guys from Cupertino will cope with it.
