iPhone 6s Logic Board Features New More Efficient Chips
According to the images shared by reliable sources, the next-generation iPhone may get an updated logic board with a new NFC chip and better flash storage. Apart from that, people familiar with the matter claim the number of chips used to make the iPhone work will decrease, but the hardware will become more efficient.
The NFC chip embedded to the iPhone 6s will be manufactured by NXP. Its index is expected to be 66VP2 and this change indicates its difference from 65V10 used in the iPhone 6. Because of a new manufacturing processes, most of the parts inside of the handset will become smaller. Still, they will retain their functionality and will become more energy-efficient. As to the storage capacity, Apple will offer its users the 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB options to choose from.
In addition to expected changes such as a Force Touch display, upgraded camera system, and new Qualcomm LTE chip for up to twice-as-fast data speeds, the next iPhone will likely include updated NFC hardware, fewer and more efficient chips, and new flash memory that may nonetheless remain at a 16GB minimum capacity.
