New 12-inch Retina MacBook Hands-On [Video]
Immediately after the official announcement of the long-anticipated 12-inch Retina MacBook at the “Spring Forward” media event on Monday, first hands-on videos began to appear on the Internet showing how the new laptop looks and feels. Among all the clips I would like to point out the one published by TechnoBuffalo reporters as the one, which is the best in terms of length and the amount of information about the device it offers. You may take a look at this video below.
According to what can be seen in the clip, the recently-released MacBook is indeed incredibly thin and light. Currently, it is the thinnest and the lightest laptop in the entire lineup of Apple’s notebooks with the thickness of just 13.1mm and the weight of about 2 pounds. It is made of aluminum and has a very minimalistic design. There’re only two ports on the body of the Macbook, namely, a multifunctional USB-C port and a headphones jack.
The device can boast of a Retina display, a redesigned keyboard and a new trackpad. In case you are interested in other specifications of the laptop, check out my previous post.
Just like the Apple Watch, the new MacBook will become available for pre-order as soon as on April 10th. As to the prices for the device, they will start at $1.299.
