Two new iPhone commercials: "Dog Lover" and "Backpacker"
Apple released new iPhone ads - 'Backpacker' and 'Dog Lover'.
Dog Lover shows you how an iPhone helped a family find, care for and keep an eye on their dog:
You can see Petfinder, Facebook, Hey Walkies and iCam apps used in this ad.
Backpacker follows a traveler exploring Barcelona using his iPhone 3GS to find places to stay, keep in contact with mum back home, and do a little translation now and then:

iPhone 4G compared to iPhone 3GS (photos)
The iPhone 4G prototype found recently is real (photos)
The story about iPhone 4G get's even more complicated. Recently the future iPhone 4G photos were shown just everywhere. After several hours these photos were claimed fake, because the device looked just like a Japanese iPhone clone. Today Gizmodo posted an article with many photos and videos, proving this is actually the next iPhone prototype. This might even be the real final version of iPhone 4G. And of course this might still be fake, a good one though. We don't know yet.
So what's new in the next iPhone 4G:
- Front-facing video chat camera.
- Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS).
- Camera flash.
- Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad).
- Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
- What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack.
- Split buttons for volume.
- Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic.
- iPhone OS 4.0.
- Dimensions: 4.50 х 2.31 х 0.37 inches.
- Weight: 140 g.
- Battery: 5.25 WHr 3.7V (iPhone 3GS - 4.51 WHr 3.7V).
Here are the photos of next iPhone:

iPad 3G will be shipped on May 7
Apple online store has been updated and now it contains information about the shipping date of iPad 3G to U.S. stores - it is May 7. Three days later Apple will start taking international pre-orders for the device.
Apple also reported it has already sold 500,000 iPads since April 3, and the international sales will start in the end of May.
It is interesting that some people who have already pre-ordered 3G versions of iPad say their order statutes are still indicating the delivery will be later this April.
iPhone 4G (iPhoneHD) pictures leaked
The story is quite strange. Someone found a future iPhone 4G (or iPhone HD) in a bar in San Jose. It was inside of an iPhone 3G case. The device has a front facing camera and 80GB of storage. It's not clear if this is definitely a production model, or just a prototype.
Fortunately the founder contacted engadget, so we have the photos:
RedSn0w 0.9.5: iPhone Firmware 4.0 Jailbreak Released

Firmware 4.0 Jailbreak with active multitasking on iPhone 3G
A few hours ago iH8sn0w posted a tweet that he is able to run jailbreak on the new firmware 4.0 beta 1. DarkMalloc, another developer who worked on the project, has just released new video that shows firmware 4.0 jailbreak on iPhone 3G:
The interesting thing, besides the presence of Cydia and MobileTerminal, is the possibility to have multiple applications open at once. That means that multitasking on iPhone 3G can be enabled. Officially Apple doesn't want to activate this functionality on iPhone 3G, just iPhone 3GS and later devices.
Apple sells 500,000 iPads and delays international orders
Apple today released the
Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad™. We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April.
Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10. We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason—the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.
iPad's are unofficially avaliable in many different countries. However the prices are very-very high (double and even triple of US ones).
Microsoft's Kin Phone Is Unveiled
Microsoft has finally revealed its two new mobile devices named Kin One and Kin Two. They work on Windows Phone 7 OS and have a capacitive display with multi-touch support, custom browser (based on Zune version and has no Flash and Silverlight) and no third-party apps support.
Kin One that was earlier known as "Turtle" is a square slider with a QVGA display, 5 MP camera , LED flash, 4GB storage drive and QWERTY keyboard. Kin Two, more known as "Pure", differs by its landscape form factor, HVGA display, 8 MP camera and 8GB storage. But the experience in both of the products is almost the same. Kin One and Kin Two have 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
MuscleNerd installed VNC-client on iPhone OS 4.0
Yesterday MuscleNerd uploaded a video of an iPhone 3GS that runs the iPhone OS 4 (beta version). Along with a new OS it also runs Veency, an unauthorized VNC-app for the iPhone (so it can be runned only on jailbroken devices).
That means that new OS can also be jailbroken by the methods that were used for the previous versions. We may only hope Apple won't make any security updates before its official release.
Multi-tasking Can Be Enabled in iPhone 3G
Twitter-user named @cdevwill claims multi-tasking can be enabled on the iPhone 3G (and that means it can be used for every device with iPhone OS 3) just by setting a TRUE-flag in the capabilities list.
Some people are not surprised of this, because obviously Apple turned this function off to increase the battery line. But the way of turning multi-tasking on looks way too simple, don't you think?
iPhone OS 4.0 Is Available for Download
Now developers can download the beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 from the Apple Developer Connection. Both the SDK and firmware for every version of iPod Touch and iPhone are available.
Note: it is rumored that the iPhone OS 4.0 cannot be installed on iPod Touch 3G 32 GB version. Developers that tried to load the OS after its installing complain they got an error message:
"The iPod could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build".
iPhone OS 4.0 Is Finally Revealed
Apple's iPhone OS 4 event ended just few hours ago and now we finally have fresh information about the upcoming operational system.
So the main idea claimed by Jobs was that it has seven tent poles. Here they are:
