Today a good game has just become free for a limited time. I'm talking about TowerMadness, a Tower Defense 3D type game with really well done graphics.

It is only 5MB but the graphics are really good for a game like this, and we also have the ability to zoom and rotate the picture 360 degrees. We have lots of weapons available. Take advantage now and download it for free- TowerMadnes AppStore link. There is also a lite version, just in case you'll miss this free day - TowerMadnes Lite AppStore link.

More news about the Apple iTablet

apple-tablet

Apple iTablet is a rumor codename for Apple Tablet PC, notebook with a sensor display. Some name it Apple MacBook Touch. Gizmodo claims to have received some information about Apple iTablet. Here it is:

  • 10 inch screen
  • Looks just like a big iPhone (though that may change)
  • 2 versions: with webcam and without (for education?)
  • $700 - $900 price tag
  • May function as secondary touchpad/screen for Macs
  • OS is still big question mark
  • Super-secret product code name.

Duke Nukem 3D Now Available in App Store [Video]

duke-nukem

Duke Nukem 3D for the iPhone has just made its debut in the App Store. This version of the popular first person shooter game first appeared in 1996 for the PC, with subsequent ports to other platforms along with multiple expansion packs and add-ons made available in the years since.

This app appears to be a rather full implementation of the PC original though there are some on-screen analog control issues that hamper gameplay.

Let's watch the video from TouchArcade:

The number of jailbreaked iPhones grows

jailbreak

The latest statistics provided by PinchMedia show that, despite the statements from Apple's official website, the phenomenon of Jailbreak is increasing.

In a single week in fact, it has gone from 8% to 8,43%. This is a small percentage which probably expresses the disappointment of users faced with some decisions of Apple, such as the refusal of the application Google Voice.

Cydia Store - how to purchase apps

The CydiaStore is open for business. Below you can find purchase process so you can see how it works.

Cydia store packages are going to be in blue writing. when you click on one, your install button says “purchase” instead of “install”.

The Cydia store uses two layers of authentication: 1) Authentication 2) Payment. Currently, amazon is used for payments and you can use either facebook or google for authentication. If you have an existing amazon account, facebook account, or google account, this is easy.

You can choose to have this automatically remembered so you don’t have to go through these steps again if you want. Also you now need to link the device you’re using to your account:

After this is done, you now need to setup payment. There are steps to take on teh very first time, but if you allow it to be kept, it will be remembered for the second purchase. Note you can also set pay limit for one-click installs without having to reenter a password in the future:

After, sign in with your Amazon password and finish checkout:

After this, you hit the “close” button and wait. It took about 20 seconds for me. Now the package shows that it’s purchased and ready for download:

After this, updates and such are treated normally. If you selected the correct options, it will be very easy to purchase the next item.

UPDATE: you can use paypal now :)

The developer of GV Mobile has decided to go ahead and release GV Mobile for free rather than let his work go to waste. You have to jailbreak iPhone to get this app.

Trojan virus in iTunes?

itunes-virus

If you have updated AVG to the latest version, your antivirus may indicate the presence of a Trojan virus inside the iTunes directory. Files iTunes.dll and iTunesRegistry.dll are mistaken as Trojan horse Small.BOG.

This problem was found by many people, Apple support forum is full of similar reports. If you use Windows and have encountered the same problem, just wait for a patch to antivirus software and delete the iTunes directory from scanning with AVG.
