Foxconn Hiring New Workers For iPhone 5S Production
Today Bloomberg that Foxconn has started hiring new workers as it is preparing for iPhone 5S production. The report said:
"Workers have been recruited at Foxconn’s plant in Zhengzhou, eastern China, for the past month, ending a hiring freeze imposed in February, said the person, who asked not to be named because the plans haven’t been made public. The extra workers will assemble the new device as well as existing models and have been added at Apple’s request to boost capacity, the person said”.
iPhone 5S Will Have Fingerprint Technology And Same Screen Size
Today Topeka analyst Brian White released a new research note summarizing his expectations on the iPhone 5S expected to arrive this summer.
It seems that he reversed his prior claims that the next iPhone model will have several different screen sizes, saying that at a trade show in China various sources claimed that the screen size would remain unchanged from the iPhone 5.

After meeting with Apple's suppliers in China, one analyst believes that Apple will release a TV with a new accessory that allows a user to control a TV using finger gestures.
Apple has been hit with $530,000 lawsuit in China
M.I.C Gadget reports that a new lawsuit at Apple were filed by the Shanghai Animation Film Studio. Apple allegedly permitted the sale of films without the consent of the Studio. Given that Apple does not directly sell the audio or video content through the iTunes Store in China, it seems that the problem is with movies provided through third-party applications in the App Store.
Apple Is Facing Patent Infringement Lawsuit Over Siri In China

As Shanghai Daily , Apple is facing a suit in China from a local company claiming that Siri infringes on its patent rights. The court in Shanghai will hold a pre-hearing today where Apple and the plaintiff, Shanghai Zhi Zhen, should exchange evidence. The report notes:
Appeal filed by Apple in Mexico was rejected
An appeal filed by Apple over its use of the "iPhone" trademark in Mexico, was rejected, according to The Wall Street Journal. It continues for some time, but did not appear to affect Apple’s ability to sell the iPhone and related services in the country.
iPhone 5S Will Include NFC Functionality And Fingerprint Sensor
China Times that Taiwanese chip company Chipbond has been chosen to supply a number of iPhone 5S’ components, including chips to support near field communication (NFC) functionality, fingerprint sensors and touch display drivers. According to the report, Apple will use the fingerprint sensor capabilities to improve the security of NFC-based features such as mobile payments.
Analyst Says Cheaper iPhone and iPhone 5S Will Launch in August/September
Taiwan's points to a research note issed by an analyst Kirk Yang from Barclays claiming that Apple is planning to launch a lower-cost iPhone and an iPhone 5S in the August/September timeframe.

Analyst Expects Unsubsidized iPhone Mini Will Cost From $250 to $300
Today analyst Brian White from Topeka Capital issued a note to clients () providing his expectations for much-rumored cheaper iPhone. According to White, Apple can release the low-cost iPhone as early as June and the device will be called “iPhone Air” or “iPhone mini”. He also expects that the contract-free model will cost from $250 to $300, which would allow the device to compete with high-end smartphones priced below $320 from China-based Xiaomi. He also noted:
