Several new images showing the retail packagings of all iPhone 6s models and a rose gold device have recently appeared on the Internet. The images have been first spotted on a Spanish website called iPhoneros. The reporters claim they got the photos of Space Gray, Silver, Rose Gold and Gold iPhone 6s boxes from reliable Chinese sources, so it appears that they are legitimate and authentic. TSMC to Produce A10 Chips for iPhone 7 Alone - Rumor



According to the latest report from reliable insiders, Apple has recently assigned Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) as the main supplier of the A10 chip, which is expected to be used in the iPhone 7 that will come in 2016. The rumor comes from a rather reliable Asian newspaper China Times, so it’s rather trustworthy. As noted by the same sources, the next-generation iPhone processor will be built using a 16-nanometer technology and InFO architecture. The production of the chip will reportedly start next year in March.

Apple 'On Pace' to Beat Last Year’s Launch Weekend iPhone Sales



Looks like the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sales will beat the last-year’s record 10 million launch weekend sales. Apple has just acknowledged that the customer response turned out to be high at the start of sales and that the pre-orders were incredibly strong in the countries of the first wave of launch.

Next-Gen iPhone to Feature 5MP Front Camera, Rear Camera Won’t Have Sapphire Cover



According to the latest report from KGI analysts, the next-generation iPhone 6s will feature a 5-megapixel front camera. Moreover, the same insiders claim that the back 12-megapixel photo sensor will not have a sapphire cover lens. Quite surprisingly, sapphire failed the drop tests, that is why Apple has decided to opt for something else.

iPhone 6c Will Resemble iPhone 5c - Rumor



According to a report from GizmoChina, the design of the widely-rumored iPhone 6c will be identical to the design of the iPhone 5c. This means the handset will get the same plastic body with colorful back shells. Does this mean that the device will be a copy of the iPhone 6 in terms of hardware? Well, we don’t know this for sure, but if to keep in mind that the 5c was a copy of the previous-generation Apple smartphone, such a suggestion really makes sense.

iPhone Market Share Grows in Europe, but Falls in the USA - Kantar



According to the latest report from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, in the second quarter of 2015, iPhone’s market share grew noticeably in such countries as Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The share on Apple’s native U.S. market saw a decrease. It should be noted, however, that this happens every year before the release of the new iPhone model.

Foxconn to Open Several New Factories in India by 2020?



According to the latest report from Reuters reporters, Apple’s main partner, Foxconn, is currently planning to build a new factory in India, which will be responsible for assembling iPhones. The reason for such a decision is the increasing wage inflation in China. In the near future, Foxconn will start searching for a suitable location for the new factory, reporters claim. By 2020, Foxconn plans to build as many as 10-12 new manufacturing facilities and data centers in India. And that is quite an ambitious task that requires a lot of resources, I must admit.

Keen Team from China to Release iOS 9 Jailbreak This Fall



According to the latest report from Forbes reporters, Keen Team from China is currently planning to work on a jailbreak for iOS 9. As to the date of its release, it remains unknown, however, people familiar with the matter say it may take place this fall. Apple Watch Constrained at Launch Because of Faulty Taptic Engines



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, the supply of the Apple Watch was heavily constrained at launch because of faulty taptic engine units. The part manufactured by a Chinese firm called AAC Technologies Holdings Inc. turned out to be defective. What is interesting is that taptic engines created by a Japanese supplier Nidec Corp were working just fine. It should be noted, however, that this information came from reliable insiders, not directly from Apple. The guys from Cupertino refused to comment on the issue. I can only imagine what could have happened if all the parts had been defective...

Suppliers in Brazil and Vietnam Now Produce Cables for Apple



As you probably know, Apple suppliers responsible for manufacture of all kinds of cables, chargers and things like that used to be located only in China. According to the updated support page created to help customers recognize Apple’s certified products among the extensive amount of counterfeit ones, the production of authorized accessories for iPhones, iPads and Macs has been recently moved to Vietnam and Brazil.
