2. Another change concerns volume control in the iPod app (or the "Music" on iPod Touch). While using Firmware 3.0 beta 4 on iPod Touch first generation, we can see that the controls for the volume are gone. This is an intelligent system, that turns on and off volume control, depending on USB, headphones and AD2P connection:

Apple released new firmware 3.0 beta4. It is only for developers' use and it requires iTunes 8.2.

Several developers report a pink screen error. When usiing iTunes 8.2 the screen should be pink for a few seconds and then the upgrade process will start. Others report that pink screen disappears after reboot.

Apple pre-released new version of iTunes 8.2. It is avaliable only for developers. The big change is a support for Blu-Ray. This leaves us to imagine that in the future Apple will add support reading/recognizing Blu-Ray discs

This is a beautiful new app from SnappyTouch. It is offering iPhone users a very polished flower garden experience. Appropriately titled Flower Garden. Avaliable in App Store (link) for $2.99.

Equilibrio is a new game where you control a ball through various levels to reach the exit. It is a very funny game where we use physics to guide a ball using the accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch. In the lower left is a kind of small map that shows the structure and level of play while we try to take the coins.

Nearly one billion apps have been downloaded around the globe.

Apple celebrates this event: download an app and you’ll automatically get the chance to win a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card, an iPod touch, a Time Capsule, and a MacBook Pro. Just go to the iTunes Store, browse the App Store, and download your best app yet.

The University of Stanford created an iPhone related course for iTunes U. The first lesson will help developers to create iPhone applications, almost from scratch.

9to5Mac has found a string within iTunes with the following statement: "Disconnect your iPod, make sure the SIM card is inserted correctly [...]". Is this a joke, mistake or Apple will create an iPod 3 with a SIM card inside to connect to the Internet?

I bet this is a mistake. But who knows..

iTunes Store now use variable pricing, Amazon still sell for $0.99...
