Apple has released a new iPhone ad called "Family Man". The commercial highlights the ability for the iPhone 3GS to capture and playback video as well as a few applications from the App Store:

Few days ago Lang Lang, who is a famous Chinese pianist, had a concert at San Francisco's Davies' Symphony Hall. At one moment he amazed audience with playing The Flight of the Bumblebee on an Apple's iPad! He made this possible with Magic Piano iPad app that is available for download here.

It is amazing how apps can make a device so functional. But some people say it is impossible to play like this on an iPad because its touch screen is not sensitive enough for such a fast play. You can even notice the moment when Lang Lang gives a device to conductor without skipping a beat. So probably it's just a record that was made before.

Some time ago Apple approved Opera Mini and now everybody can download it for free. Skyfire team understood it as a reason to work harder so now they look forward to bring their own mobile browser to iPhone and iPod Touch. Skyfire CEO Jeff Glueck congratulated the Opera in his company's blog and told about upcoming version for 'iDevices'.

The idea of their app is almost the same as for the Opera - the browser also renders web content though the remote servers of the company and then presents it on a mobile devices. But with Skyfire users can view Silverlight, Flash and Quicktime content without needing any of the plugins or powerful processor.

The video above shows how the Skyfire browser works on Symbian devices.

And we're back now with a new e-mail reply by Steve Jobs, received from a TechCrunch reader. He was interested why Apple doesn't apply parental control to apps released in AppStore but simply denies accepting it. Jobs' answer was suddenly long, and he recommended to buy an Android-based phone.

Apple released new iPhone ads - 'Backpacker' and 'Dog Lover'.

Dog Lover shows you how an iPhone helped a family find, care for and keep an eye on their dog:

This video from CNet compares two iPad apps for book purchasing and reading - iBooks and Amazon Kindle:

Dave Johnson from Bnet's blogs has written a post about why iPhone OS 4.0 and, particularly, iAds is a reason to get rid of your iPhone. He says that even such a big company as Apple cannot stay of the road when there are opportunities to gain additional billions of dollars with their new advertising program. It is announced that iAds service will work only in a free apps, but in a while there will be nothing to stop it from showing up such advertisements in paid apps too. That is why it is time to look at iPhone rivals.

Mike Schramm from TUAW develops this thought further - if iAds will bring significant revenue to Apple, why not deliver it to Mac OS X?

But at this moment these thoughts are not confirmed with any of the Apple actions, so there is no need for panic yet.

Apple's iPhone OS 4 event ended just few hours ago and now we finally have fresh information about the upcoming operational system.

Apple today posted a new iPhone ad called concert:

Yesterday Apple announced it will introduce iPhone OS 4.0 at 10 a.m. on April, 8. The company had already sent invitations for the event, which will be held at the Cupertino campus.

The new verison of OS is rumored to have full multitasking support. Current 3.1.3 version allows only Apple-developed applications running in the background. Some sources have additional information about better app management, landscape mode and a new home screen.

Released on April, 3 the iPad runs an iPhone OS 3.2, which is only compatible with the new device.

Yesterday Google has announced a new web UI for tablet devices like iPad and others. As you can see from the screenshot above some ideas were taken from Apple's Mail for iPad - the inbox is situated to the left of the screen and the messages appear on the right side.

Google's Product Manager Punit Soni also reported that iPad comes with such pre-installed Google services like Google Search in Safari, YouTube app and Maps app.

It looks like in spite of a tensity that can be observed in the Apple-Google relationship the partnership between these companies is still pretty tight.
